At this point we would like to introduce a simple measuring device that you need more often than expected. You can measure not only with an oscilloscope, but also with the classic caliper . And if only you read the signal spacing on the oscilloscope with it...
Calipers are simple instruments for measuring a length. On a scale axis, the slider is moved and the length is read. There are analog calipers that use the so called vernier scale. On the large scale you read the value before the comma, on the small scale you look for the correspondence to the scale and find the decimal place.
Nowadays, there are numerous digital calipers that display the length on an LCD display. Such sliders are easy to read even for amateurs, but always require a battery. Ultimately, this is also their disadvantage, since often when you need them the battery is empty. It is best to order spare batteries right away.
